Nardonne's on Ortega. It's a thicker crust for those who like that.

I really love Gino's on Figueroa -- their thin crust pizza reminds me of New York style and their sauce is really good.

Gino's is the best pizza in Santa Barbara. Paesano's is pretty good as well. Everything else is a hot circle of garbage.

Woodstocks in IV...and get extra ranch dressing!

For those who care about what goes into the pizza I'd say Whole Foods.

I like Taffy's on upper De La Vina and Woostock's in IV (25% discount on large orders). Also another vote for Gino's!

Totally depends on your budget. If you want to spend under $3 per person then your only choice is Dominos. And if you order take out on M-Th you can get a great deal on 3-topping large pizzas.

If you have $4+ to spend per person, then go anywhere BUT Dominos.

I second Gino's on Figueroa. Best East Coast style pizza in SB.

I wonder how much a Whole Foods' pizza costs? I can just see the toppings now - imported, artisanal goat cheese hand-made by a certified vegan sheperd in the Italian Alps using cruelty-free milking techniques and locally sourced free-range, organic pepperoni prepared in a kosher slaughterhouse by Tibetan monks.

Anyway, if you're near Goleta, try Gina's Pizza (next to the Camino Real theater). They make some AWESOME pies for decent prices that taste really fresh!

@139 Actually at Whole Foods their pies are only topped with ingredients that are hyper local urban foraged.

For large groups and to conserve on money: Costco.

If cost is no issue:
LOVE LOVE LOVE Pizza Mizza. So many varieties.
Marty's YUM

Never been to Gino's. Sounds like I should give it a try.

Pizza Mizza is good; Axxess cardholders obtain a discount, also.

Costco. End of discussion. Period

We've hosted many pizza luncheons at our large office complex and Costco is more that willing to provide & have everything ready when you want.

Please don't listen to some of these posters....there is only one pizza that is WORSE than Dominos. And that is Costco pizza.

It might be easiest if a large order to talk to ones closest to you and ask for a discount. Costco is always well priced and big, you see lots of people picking up 5-10 pies for their groups there.

Gino's pizza is really good, but a little on the small side so order accordingly. Pizza Mizza is also really good. And they both deliver!

Persona is awesome to eat in but I'm not sure it would be great for take out, that's a pizza that needs to be eaten immediately. If it's going to sit around for a while go for something with a thicker crust.

uncle rocco's is the best pizza around and the 22' new york style pizza perfect for large groups, uncle roccos uses a real pizza oven . way better than any costco or other type of pre packaged pizza

Good! Went there once and thought it was a rip off. Our server/owner said she wanted to "give" us an additional item with our meal, then charged us $$$ for it. Nothing was lost in translation. She said she wanted to "give" us the special treat since we were new customers ! Place had a strange vibe. But the orange haired woman worked hard to entertain.

We have brought Costco pizza to many, MANY large events and have never heard a complaint. People eat it up. It may not be gourmet pizza baked in a clay oven, but people appreciate the meal and it won't cost you a paycheck. You really think anyone is gonna complain that they don't have fresh asiago?? C'mon ... it's pizza for a large group!

Costco all the way.

(p.s. Dominos is getting slammed here, but their new designer pizzas are delicious!)
