Another Reality Wedding In Santa Barbara
updated: Jan 08, 2014, 10:10 AM

By Lauren Bray

It's that time again. Time for the reality stars who have no concept of reality to invade our quaint little town with the bright lights and plastic enhancements of Los Angeles.

Us locals tolerate the celebrity sightings when they vacation here, after all they need a break too. And some of us will show up for the Santa Barbara International Film Festival to watch their movies and gaze at the red carpet. However, most Santa Barbarians grimace when we hear of an elaborate televised wedding for yet another reality star.

In the summer of 2011 Kim Kardashian and her "Krew" invaded Montecito for her wedding to professional basketball player Kris Humphries, which was televised by the E! Network. Marriage must not have been their thing, or their marital contract with E! was up, because they filed for divorce just 72 days later. The Dedicated Staff and edhatters covered some of the craziness here, here, and here.

It is now being reported by Broadway World and KEYT that the latest couple to become engaged due to ABC's The Bachelor will have their wedding at the Four Seasons Biltmore on January 26th.

Sean Lowe was last season's Bachelor on the ABC show where he proposed to Catherine Giudici. It's no secret that these actors/reality stars receive more money when they get married, but it must be in their contract to get married on television as well, (of course this is just my opinion). ABC will be filming the ceremony titled "The Bachelor: Sean and Catherine's Wedding" and it will be a first-ever live event.

Get ready Santa Barbara for a crazy influx of cameras, paparazzi, and film crews in just a few short weeks. With all that said and as ridiculous as I think it is, I'll probably watch. What do edhatters think of this upcoming reality wedding in Santa Barbara?
