I thought his dog was ok?

Yeah, I had the same impression as Roger.

"Harley came away from the crash uninjured and is now staying with a family in Santa Barbara, according to Wear."

I just googled 'Levi and Harley Santa Barbara' and found a donation page for Levi on Go Fund Me...

Was the motorcycle a Harley and the dog ... Marley ? Levi is in Rehab, his pup in care of friends and the Harley is toast, right?

I made a small ($25) donation to the go fund me site. If everyone gave a small amount, it would help. The site looked legit, and you can delete them and their messages right after you donate. Good luck, guys!

His dog did not survive... Not sure why it was reported incorrectly.

So, did the dog survive or not?? The person that set up his donation page, had originally posted that the dog was taken to the shelter, but a family member picked him up and was taking care of him.

So, which is the true story. Why did you hide your handle

I hid the handle because this is not my computer. My wife has this account and I do not feel its appropriate to comment under her handle. The SB News Press reported the dog was deceased. An animal strapped to the back of a motorcycle involved in a horrific accident is not going to survive. I guess it gave people hope for Levi and his recovery to omit that fact from the original story.

It was a drunk driver that hit him too right?

Maybe someone could play detective and let us know the fate of the dog. Interesting variation on his fate.

I just saw Harley this morning with his foster mom. He is happy, healthy and has visited Levi.

@022 - Can you post a picture of Harvey with a copy of today's newspaper (so we know it is today)? I don't think we can put this to rest until we all see a time stamped photo/video of the dog breathing.

I hope Harvey survived. I've heard of horrendous collisions which claimed many lives, yet the pets made it through without a scratch.

Not a man, not a veteran, not an amputee, not a motorcycle rider--- but I love my dog and relate to Levi on this.

I hope his pup survived. If it were me, I am sure that would be a huge motivation to recover.

Wish Levi well and some confirmation of the happier dog outcome would make my day!
