Just came back from a run and came out on Turnpike. What are all those brushes and trees on the Santa Barbara side of path? Looks like fire hazard!

Those my friend are Santa Barbara brushes and trees, you should take caution and run with your fire extinguisher..

Move to Irvine and be safe. They don't have growing things.

There are a lot of painters and dentist so you will see brushes from time to time. Not sure about the trees though.

Not clear to me; are they in the ground growing, or cut and discarded? If planted, they shouldn't be a problem

It's a bioswale...but it is overgrown. County has a gate they can't open because of the over grown plants. Cuts off an exit. Could be a fire hazard.

For the past two weeks, between Turnpike and Patterson, workers have been clearing Atascadero Creek of obstructive vegetation to prevent flooding in the surrounding residential areas. They also have been trimming back the trees and bushes that grow along the dirt access road next to the creek. There has been a steady stream of trucks carting the stuff away. This is done annually. Is this what you are referring to?

724.... oh, THAT path!! Thank your deciphering the OP's question.

748... you gotta admit that the more obscure posts get the more off the wall the comments become.

Any pot plants?

No, pot plants can only be removed using helicopters that cost at least $1,000 an hour to fly.

Hint, hint, hint: If you see stuff, brush, for instance, blocking a public path, pick it up, move it aside, be a good citizen, 'though it may pause your running....

There are a lot of details (as well as nouns and articles) missing from your post . More and clearer information would lead to better and more useful answers.

Brushes? Hair brushes? I've never seen "brushes" used to describe "brush." Bushes and trees, yes?

I wish they'd smooth out the bike path there. It's a real pain in the arse, literally, when you're biking. Bump, bump, pot hole, root ridges, bump.
