Cat On A Hot Car Roof
updated: Dec 19, 2013, 10:22 AM

I was driving south on La Cumbre this morning and as I pulled up to the light at State Street in the right hand lane I noticed something odd on the roof of the SUV two cars ahead of me. It took me a few seconds to process that it was a cat. The light turned green just as I realized this so I quickly cut to the left lane and hit my horn while opening my window to yell "there's a cat on your roof!" By luck I didn't cause an accident and was able to get the drivers attention as they were starting to turn right onto State State and then likely from there get on the freeway.

The cat looked calm and relaxed but for some reason this really jangled my nerves. It took me a half hour to settle down. I've seen folks drive off with coffee cups and folders on their roof before but never a cat.

Glad it had a happy ending.
