Ventura City Fire Department responded to a reported brush fire in the Harmon Barranca. Upon arrival, crews discovered a fast-moving fire advancing in the barranca. Firefighters initiated an aggressive attack from both sides of the barranca and stopped the forward progress of the fire at ½ acre. Hand crews coordinated with firefighters on the scene to complete extinguishment and mop up operations.
