36 Year Old Isla Vista Pro Boxer
updated: Dec 02, 2013, 3:08 PM

By John Palminteri

Isla Vista fighter shows us we're never too old, as he becomes a pro boxer at the age of 36.

Henry Calles Jr. was working out for fitness at his gym, Duke's Boxing in Isla Vista when, at age 36, he started throwing knockout punches.

In what was an untraditional approach, he decided to take a jab at a professional career in boxing. That's something much younger fighters might consider.

After months of training, and hours of sparring sessions, he was added to the Central Coast Boxing Championship event at the Chumash Casino-Resort in Santa Ynez.

His first ever pro fight was a furious four rounder that left the sold out audience screaming until the final bell.
