Scanner Reports 12-2-13
updated: Dec 02, 2013, 7:00 AM

By Roger the Scanner Guy

Will it's Monday and Shoplifting Season is off and running. I must say the Stun Gun attack during one Black FRYday fight back East really added Spice to the Holiday Season. It looked like the victim got it several times rolling back and forth across the floor they take their shopping serious back East and in bigger cities when it comes to Black FRYday. A lot more crime in bigger cities than here but it's still here on a smaller scale there are still thieves and opportunists ready to rip you off. If you don't want that to happen you have to take precautions like lock up your homes, and your vehicles, garages, storage units, anywhere someone can sneak in and rip you off. It's time to start watching those Mail boxes like a Hawk because that is one of the easiest ways to get ripped off especially if your mailbox don't lock, or if unattended packages are left at your door. The other day there was a report of someone stealing mail somewhere, can't remember exactly where, it's in the reports. It turned out the guy was putting flyers in the mailboxes, at least he wasn't stealing.

A lot of 415 Domestics Family home for the Holidays it's probably GOOD some stay away from each other. Crazy family stuff always seems to happen during the Holidays. I always thought I was the most dysfunctional family member in the World at least I was good at something, I thought. Wow, there are some real twisted people out there. I remember one time when I was leaving Cottage Emergency I said to a nurse " I bet I'm the biggest 5150 (nut) in Santa Barbara." She said "Oh no there are much worse 5150's than you." That made me feel so good; almost as if I was normal. Some of the things I hear that Code, 40's Drunks do I totally relate and remember doing some of those things too and I wonder how in the HELL our city can function with so many Drunken Crazy Fools doing crazy things all at the same time. The other night I heard about this combative drunk at the Sober Center. WHY? Would someone go Ballistic at the Sober Center? That's Easy Street; sleep it off for a few hours they let you go, then go back out and drink s'more, if that is what you want to do. This guy was fighting the police, more police showed up he kept fighting so more police showed up, then a Supervisor showed up. I guess this guy thought he could take on the Police and Win. I never did anything like that; NOT sober anyway. I'd always let them get me checked in to the Sober Center and leave before I did something stupid. I always left the Sober Center before my time there was up and I think I did that a dozen or so times, one time I turned myself in and stayed the whole time because I knew I was going to do something real stupid that night. They cut me loose from the Sober Center at 3 in the morning. It took me hours to shuffle back to work because not only did I drink a lot of booze, I downed a bottle of Nyquil too!

‘Tis the Season we got Christmas Shoplifters, and Drunks and of course 415 Domestics heard quite a few of those over the Weekend some got physical too like the Stepfather throwing things at his kids on West Arrellaga, a guy slapping his wife around on San Andres Saturday night, a couple on DLV Throwing things, "Ouch" Someone hurt their back there, a young couple in Carpinteria fighting each other, possibly physically, with an 8 month old child in the house. What's the use of being together if you're going to make each other miserable? If you got kids, your yelling and screaming acting like a Fool, you're abusing them too whether you hit them or not. It don't matter what I say this is going to happen anyway been going on since the beginning of time and it will be going on at the End of time. Just a fact of life. It's Funny how we do things the hard way when the answers are right under our nose.
