How I spent my Halloween..... my husband agreed to accompany me up to the Santa Ynez Valley, and Happy Canyon rd. for a bit of night shooting. We drove all the way to the end of Happy Canyon rd. as I had my sights set on this windmill for shooting the milky way. I scuttled that plan after the sun set, as the neighbor across the road had some very bright lights on a gate that interfered with Milky Way shooting. I made the best of what I had and created this image. One of the very bright clusters of stars is Andromeda, and the streaks are satellites shooting across the night sky. The air was dead calm and we had only the crickets to keep us company...not a single car seen the entire night!...just the way I like it!
