Vehicle vs. School Bus Accident

SISQUOC, Ca. October 30, 2013 - At 7:01am, Santa Barbara County Fire Department (SBC FD) responded
to a vehicle accident, located at Foxen Canyon Rd. and Orcutt-Garey Rd. in Sisquoc.
SBC FD responded two engines and a battalion chief to the scene. SBCFD was assisted by one engine
and a heavy rescue from Santa Maria FD, American Medical Response, Santa Barbara Sheriff's Office, and
the California Highway Patrol.
First arriving firefighters found a Righetti HS bus involved in a vehicle accident. A total of 11 patients
were treated on the bus: four with minor injuries, one with moderate injuries, and one with serious
injuries. A total of 4 patients were transported to the hospital. Seven school children uninjured. It took
firefighters almost one hour to extricate the driver from the bus.

The cause of the accident is under investigation by the CHP.
