Well, well, well, It's Hump Day once again in Santa Barbara. The way things are around here sometimes it feels like Hump Day every day. You gotta watch everything you got because if you don't, believe me someone else has an eye on it. Take your eyes off something for a second lose it forever. Someone lost their purse like that on Monday up there in the North county of Santa Barbara while shopping. I always make note of things when I visit the grocery store, like what people leave unattended in their grocery carts; Daypacks and Purses just to name all that matters. Most people keep their whole lives in those bags and it only takes a second to rip them off. By the time one notices their bag missing, their vehicle is pulling out of the driveway. By the time the manager is notified of the theft and 911 is called your vehicle is most likely already at its new destination or on its way via the freeway. Keep an eye on your personal belongings and you won't have to spend time mourning the loss of important paperwork, credit cards, your driver's license, identity, pictures of your loved ones, money, and have to pay higher insurance rates, for the loss of your vehicle.
We're coming up on the Holidays now; ‘tis the Season to get ripped off blind. I remember the time I was crossing the street after visiting Shakey, walking along two bicyclists coming toward me on the sidewalk one reaching into my back pocket for my wallet I felt his hand grabbed and yanked knocking him to the ground. I felt his hand it was a reaction I had no idea that the guy was robbing me until he went down onto the ground then I just pulled my wallet out put it in my front pocket and walked away. Shakey is always telling people that they should carry wallets in their front pocket, let pick pockets work for it. If the opportunity is offered, someone's going to take it. It's just a matter of time. If you receive packages and other things that will not fit in your locked mail box, make sure you have to be there to sign for it. I'm waiting for a microwave right now and I know I'm going to have to sign for it if it ever gets here. Temptation overcame my wallet. I usually buy things used but I got this at a good price because it's FIRE ENGINE BRIGHT RED, so they dropped the price some. It will be nice to have a microwave again, especially as the months get cooler.
The spooky movies are on for Halloween, and it seems no matter how many times I have seen them there are scenes that still scare the HELL outta me and make me jump. The movie Halloween got me a couple of times Monday night it was almost as scary as the rise in my Cox Cable bill I got earlier in the day. Not quite as scary though. I guess I'm going to have to make some adjustments in that department; cut out my Wyatt Earp, Perfect Storm, Escape from Alcatraz reruns. I hope I don't have to give up all my TV. I do enjoy vegetating in front of the Idiot Box late at night.

Speaking of that sort of thing I knew a guy many years ago that had cancer he was dying and he kept seeing his mother who had died years earlier. The day he passed on he kept saying "I'll be there real soon Mom" in between talking about his childhood and good times. He went on and on chatting laughing a couple hours later he was there. I'm sure most of us will be there someday. That call just reminded me of that guy.
Anyone doing the Halloween thing this year? Know what you're going to be yet? I was the bearded lady one year and won first place at the Alano Club; 25 bucks! That was almost 20 years ago long time ago times were better than. I just got a remote control spider to scare Belinda with. It's a big one I don't think spiders make spiders that big. Belinda won't know that when she's sitting in her chair and this big hairy spider crawls into her house and starts dancing. Wow I just heard a weird call and I'm totally confused. I don't think I heard it right. The Police heard it right though, so I'll just leave it for them.
Anyway Have a great WednesHUMPday. Doggie willing we will see you on FRYday. Later, Roger
