Hmmmmm I wonder what day this is anyone know? Yea yea I know this is the day I pick my numbers for the Lottery gee I sure hope I win; I could use a new washing machine, got a dryer then 3 days later the washing machine took a POOP! Sometimes I think God really has it in for me. I was thinking the other day about some of the things WE DO to tempt criminals. Things like leaving doors and windows unlocked or open, leaving our keys in the car and in some cases the vehicle running leaving things out or laying around, or in our vehicles things that can be easily seen by looking in the windows. If you have a backyard what kinds of things do you leave in your yard? What things are out there right now? What is in your vehicle? What can be seen just by looking in the windows of your vehicle? (You don't have to tell us just answer yourselves.) It's really easy to access auto burglary tools to break into vehicles. One tool called a slim jim is a piece of sheet metal about 2 inches by a foot or maybe a little longer thin metal bendable, all someone has to do is cut the metal in the shape of a little hook on the end that will pop a vehicle's door locks. Or they can be found in some dollar plus stores for a buck and a half that is where I got mine. When I was a kid back east Chop Shops sold slim jims for 15 bucks, tools of the trade of being a vehicle thief some cars taken could fetch 4 or 5 hundred bucks, I'm sure it's a lot more now.
I took off with a girlfriend's car once totaled it I think if I woulda pulled up to a chop shop with it they woulda either paid me to take it away or shot me. 1974 Ford LTD Wagon with a slippy transmission seriously if that police car, fence, tree, picnic tables, garbage cans, stairway, and another tree wouldn't have been there I might have gotten away, I wasn't a very good criminal more of a miserable drunk. When I was a kid all us kids had Stingray bicycles those things were so cool some of you might remember them. One Christmas my folks got me this purple one it totally sparkled it was a 5 speed with a wood grain shifter in the frame, it had a purple banana seat I really loved it all my friends wanted one just like it left it in the back yard one night never saw the damn thing again. My dad said it was ok to leave in the yard that no one would take it but they did so he got me another one a few months later. He ran a sears store everything we had was sears they always had the best products still I would have rather had my purple Stingray compared to any other Stingray out there, the next one I got sterling silver in color with flames on the banana seat was always locked up. My friends Chucky and Chucky had Stingrays also Chucky 1 had a gold Schwinn, Chucky 2, aka The Babe had a midnight blue 3 speed We called him the Babe I always thought because he looked like the Gerber baby he hated the nickname. But now that he's in his 50's he still looks good and I think there's quite a few women calling him the Babe and he's got everything including $$$$, I'd settle for my old purple Stingray, and his money, his Harley, his, house, his pickup truck, he could keep the looks. Anyway it's something to think about what people leave outside in the yard, or in their vehicles. I used to carry all kinds of junk in my cars in between jobs it was like my second home. I heard of a hand gun being taken from a vehicle not too long ago, I always hear of squatters being found sleeping in vehicles not squating they only do that in vehicles that I own.

A long, long, time ago I used to live on Alameda out there by the High School me and another 5150 like myself decided to go rattlesnake hunting on a real hot summer day there in the foothills overlooking the High School long before the Golf Course or any other pretty things were out there. We was wearing shorts because it was real hot and we was real stupid besides being crazy I had a wrist rocket sling shot he had a buck knife We was real lucky because we never saw a Rattlesnake or any other kind of snake I was standing on this steep hillside near an area where someone dumped trash just kinda looking around when I realized I had to get rid of a little excess water I walked over to a bush and let it fly. A couple seconds later this bush and others kinda attached to it started shaking weird man I was thinking. Suddenly I saw antlers BIG FRIGGEN ANTLERS, HUGE FRIGGEN ANTLERS!!! This thing turned and looked right into my eyes as it back kicked HOLY YOUKNOWWHAT! I yelled grabbing my wrist rocket, running backwards with my pants around my ankles screaming at the top of my lungs and then some. My partner was half way down the road I don't know how far I ran backwards down the hill but I hit a rock and went flying. I scared the HELL outta the buck he went the other way Thank Dog because I thought that thing was going to Eat Me. That was the end of my hunting career in Santa Barbara.
