Monday is here again. I hope you're all awake and ready for anything that comes your way. So do you
drag thru Mondays or are you the Bright Eyed and Bushy Tailed sort everyone hates? When I was young I always felt good in the morning. I'd walk a mile to
the Bus Stop early in the Mornings get on the Bus and everyone looked like HELL, Like their eyes were glued shut or something, like there was not enough
coffee in the world to keep them awake. There might be now but there were no Starbucks back then, no Santa Barbara Roasting, No Coffee Bean and Tea
Leaf, no Peets, no Jacks, and Muddy Waters was on the radio and still Kicking. Mostly what people drank was Farmers, or what I drink Folgers, and they
didn't have that Kick just enough to get you up to shower and catch a few winks on the bus before you had to drag into work. But I was young and full of
energy then so all the good coffee didn't matter, I didn't need it then. Now life is different I'm older all I can afford is Folgers I wake up most mornings and it
feels like my eyes are glued shut, there's not enough Folgers in the world to keep me going. I can't really afford all that other stuff now but there was a time,
when I'd dump three triple espressos down my throat and I was good for a few hours. Of course back then I worked pretty hard. I did all kinds of different
jobs. I was like the Three Stooges rolled into one because I was a real Screw Up but I worked hard at it. I loved to do construction labor, unloading trucks,
and digging ditches. The other day I walked past a couple young guys digging trenches and I wanted to tell them to learn how to fix computers, but you
can't tell people anything they don't listen, I didn't. I wish I would have though don't tell me nothing now I'm too old to change and moving at all hurts like
The otter day I was going out to check the mail and noticed a police officer speaking with three fellas sitting on the curb parkway
at Circle K. One fell down onto the sidewalk while the other two remained seated, the police officer said something to them they got up and walked away
heading North on Milpas. The fella that fell down looked responsive, personally I think the guy was faking so he could get carted away to Cottage but I was
40 feet away what do I know? The police officer spent a few moments attempting to get a response from the guy but he just laid there like a log. The cop
spoke into his radio and I think he was requesting Code 2 Medics. I had my portable scanner but for some reason it wasn't working? The Medics showed up
a couple moments later. They parked and walked over observing the man then they attempted to get him to respond, at one point it looked as if one of the
Medics was tickling the guy but he wasn't moving so they pulled the gurney out of the Ambulance and rolled it over. The two Medics gently picked up the
man and placed him on the gurney suddenly he came to, moving his hand around as if he was directing a movie and chatting away. The Medics adjusted the
gurney so the man could sit up then rolled him to the waiting Ambulance and placed him in. The two fellas that were with him earlier just walked by
pushing a colorful Fresh and Easy Grocery Cart South toward the beach they only had a couple items in the cart; they obviously did not need the assistance
of the cart. Sometimes I take carts from a grocery store but always ask permission and I always return them I only live a couple blocks away but have a bad
back, If I didn't I be downing triple espressos, and digging ditches with my eyes glued shut.
