July 29, 2013 - Blooming Hibiscus

Sunday was full of reporting news. Roger heard two separate vegetation fires in Santa Barbara County, one near Cieneguitas and Foothill with the potential to damage homes. Thankfully first responders were quickly on the scene and put out the fire before it reached homes in the area. In lighter news, our photo of the day is a pretty blooming hibiscus flower with vibrant colors that will hopefully brighten up your Monday morning.

In other news: a car was pulled from the creek off Las Positas and Cliff, an appliance caught fire at Mesa Laundry, and a cyclist went over the side of East Camino Cielo. Read these stories and more below:

An appliance is on fire at Mesa Laundry on 315 Meigs Road.
