Pan-STARRS from Shoreline
updated: Mar 13, 2013, 8:36 AM

By Chuck McPartlin

Here's a sequence of shots from a Comet Pan-STARRS expedition to Shoreline Park this evening. The comet was just barely detectable naked-eye, but nice in binoculars, just left of the thin crescent Moon.

In the shot with the airplane, you can see why you should use a remote release when taking long exposures ;)

Tomorrow evening, it will be ten degrees below a thicker Moon. That's about the width of your fist held out at arm's length.
