Urban Fishing

We went downtown to "First Thursday" last night. In the La Arcada alley, off of State Street, we saw this Great Blue Heron sitting on the edge of the fountain, peering into the water. Suddenly, he thrust his beak into the water and came up with a bright, shiny, goldfish! He continued to do this, patiently waiting until one swam by. I wonder if he got them all?

I took this photo with my iPhone. It was dark and slightly raining, and unfortunately I didn't manage to get a shot with the fish in his mouth.
