ACCESS RAMP CONSTRUCTION
AT THE MAJOR INTERSECTION OF CARRILLO AND CHAPALA STREETS
BEGINS ON MONDAY, MARCH 11, 2013
Beginning on Monday, March 11, 2013, a new sidewalk access ramp will be constructed at the northeast
corner of the Carrillo and Chapala Street intersection as part of the City's annual Sidewalk Access Ramp
Project. The work is expected to take two weeks, with construction expected to be complete by Friday
March 22, 2013.
Traffic lane closures will be required and motorists should expect delays and use alternate routes.
Pedestrian access will be maintained.
For more information and updates on this project, please visit the FY2012-13 Access Ramp Project
information page. To see how sidewalk access ramps are constructed, please visit Access Ramps FAQs.
The new access ramp will meet the Americans with Disabilities Act requirements and will improve safe
access for all pedestrians. We appreciate your patience and cooperation during construction. If you
have questions, please contact Adam Hendel, Supervising Engineer, at (805) 897-1921 or via email at
ahendel@SantaBarbaraCA.gov.
