De La Guerra Fire

Just to add a bit to Diamond's comprehensive report of Thursday night's
fire at E. De la Guerra Street.
The fire was called in by multiple parties, some who reported it on
Voluntario Street and others who reported it on De la Guerra Street.
This led emergency responders to believe there was more than just
one fire. As a result, SBFD and Montecito FD sent crews, however when
firefighters arrived on scene it became apparent that the fire involved a
cluster of "outbuildings" located down a driveway off De la Guerra
Street. The buildings included a small cottage, a storage shed and
another building. These structures appeared to be connected to each
other, and were very close to the rear property line. Behind the buildings
is a condominium unit, which is located on Voluntario Street.
Firefighters from SBFD remained on scene for three hours after the fire
had been extinguished to mop-up and be certain the fire was
completely out.
