That is a fine little gas station, but pretty isolated at night. Darn, I am getting pretty sick of the crime wave we're dealing with. Some meth freak just got enough cash for a couple of hits. Great. It would be nice if the security footage was published quickly.

The crime is pretty ironic another California city like ours is dealing with a spike in crime and two of their police officers were shot dead today.. We all need to watch out for each other..

There is a small area of brush behind that station where bums and druggies congregate. I'm sure they are tied to this and I'm sure the hard working employees would love it if our local cops would roust these bums rather than write speeding tickets.

Why is it common knowledge that there are vagrants that hang out, camp and panhandle off the Las Positas SB offramp (right behind the Mobil station), and NOTHING is done about it? Everytime I see the bum that beg ON the freeway offramp, I call 911, CHP dispatch, and report a "pedistrian in traffic on the offramp". It's CHP's responsibily to prevent panhandler from impeading traffic on their jurisdictions. The Union Pacific RR should be clearing the camps along their right of way, just as CALTRANS should, but it doesnt get done.

Will because with all the people sleeping in the weeds, in their cars, RV's your RV'S and Cars, squatting in structures and many, many otter places including underwater caves, the hills, mountains, Uranus, it would take the National Guard to clean out all the camps plus there's no money..You don't expect people to go out there and clean up the camps for FREE do you? Have you ever cleaned up an en"Don't forget the poopy bags"campment? There is a very small budget for it and things are not done the way they used to be there are laws now.

I agree with Roger. Not to mention when people see the CHP or SBPD taking time to actually write these guys tickets they get upset that their tax dollars are being wasted and that law enforcement isn't available or handling "real" crime. It's a double edged knife. Nothing is perfect and none of this activity is new. Crime happens and has been happening in Santa Barbara for a LONG time. Please stop fooling yourself. Just because the information wasn't released to the public doesn't mean it wasn't happening. That's why we have always had a jail overcrowding problem, a full court house, and an expanded probation dept!

Santa Cruz has had a recent spike in violent crime this make 5 homicides this year..This may be a sign of things to come for Santa Barbara..Both cities have alot of the same problems..

Armed robberies, stabbings, shootings.....good grief. What has this town become? Maybe that is why everyone was so mad that Goleta was picked #95 of the country's safest places to live....
