Check with Jordan Pope at Portico Gallery on Coast Village Road. She has students and I bet you could get something really nice done by one of her students at a very reasonable cost. Tell her Dinah sent you. I am so sorry for your loss.

Carpinteria painter Rebecca Stebbins (see website of same name) - she mostly does still life and landscape work but occasionally does portraits in oil as well.

as an artist with 50 yrs experience with oils and acrylic, i could do this however i don't feel like advertising myself on edhat. a 'job' like this would be a minimum of a thousand dollars for a professional quality product.

Brandon Teris is an artist who graduated from USCB and now teaches art at a private school in the Bay Area. I spoke with Brandon and he and/or his students would love to do the portrait. I'm sure they would do a great job, and it probably would cost a lot less than local artists. Google "Brandon Teris" to view his artwork. He can be contacted at 909-234-6688.
