Pelican Nest

Many years ago, over 30, I kept a boat at Lake Casitas. At that time there was a flock of Brown Pelicans that
nested there year after year, I wonder if they are still there.

Are you sure they were Brown Pelicans? They nest only off Anacapa Island and are almost emtirely salt water birds. American White Pelicans do nest inland, but I did not know of them at Lake Casitas.
