Fence Builder
updated: Feb 25, 2013, 10:23 AM

I need someone to tear out some ivy and install redwood fencing on an existing chain link fence (they should be able to use the existing posts). Any suggestions on someone who does good wood fencing work?

We had the Fence Factory put in a split rail fence. Ivy is persistent; we dug ours out then hired just a regular gardener type who worked in the neighborhood to dig out the rest. It's a big job. Good luck.

When you're sure it isn't going to rain, if you paint a drop of [Roundup] on the end of each bit of ivy that is going down deep into the ground, the [Roundup] won't kill anything else but will help kill the ivy without your having dig and to constantly work to pull out the runners. I borrow from somebody else's already-bought can, so another big can of poison isn't mouldering away in my garage.
