Turkey Buzzards

When wandering around the Santa Barbara Zoo, I found this vulture staring back at me from his cage! They are also known as "Turkey Buzzards," since having a bald red head, they resemble the wild male turkey. These birds mainly eat carrion and we see them soaring in the air, riding on thermals, and looking for a meal.
