Turkey Buzzards
updated: Feb 25, 2013, 9:46 AM

By Ron Harris

They are also known as "Turkey Buzzards," since having a bald red head, they resemble the wild male turkey. These birds mainly eat carrion and we see them soaring in the air, riding on thermals, and looking for a meal.
