By The Dedicated Staff
The Lobero Theatre Foundation threw a birthday party on Friday evening
to celebrate 140 years, and the dedicated staff of edhat.com was on
hand. The event was to kick off a fundraising effort to meet the goal
of raising $6.25 million dollars for renovations to the historic
theater. The event included a proclamation by the mayor, a birthday
cake, singing, food and live music. Construction is scheduled to
begin June 3, 2013.

Wonderful! Wish the people had been identified. For instance, who is the woman with the dead (I assume) animal around her neck?

The woman is Lynda Millner, the social columnist for the Montecito Journal. And, yes, the fur didn't have a body in it!

Jose Lobero started his theartre 140 yrs ago, but the building we have now had it's grand opening in 1924. What are they planning to do? Over 6mil is a ton of money. Perhaps make it earthquake proof? Would love more details. Looks like it was a fun party, with good music.

To the person anonymously asking for another person's identity: the animal is a hippo ... as in "hypocrisy".
