Can anyone recommend a place where I can get a fantastic caramel dessert? It can be candy, a tart, pie, or anything else, but it cannot include chocolate.

211: The salted caramel buddahs are chocolates with caramel inside. The OP was asking for caramel sans chocolate (I assume allergy/sensitivity to chocolate - and for that, I am deeply sorry - they really are fantastic).

Grocery store, ice cream - your flavor but I'd opt for vanilla bean - and gooey caramel sauce, YUM! Heat the caramel sauce for easier pouring. Some grocery stores or CVS sell the bags of caramels, grab one or two bags and turn on the music and instant heaven.

437: not much in macarons but ground almonds, sugar and egg whites. Might be some sort of chemical stabilizer like cream of tartar in the egg whites. The fillings are likely some sort of fat like butter plus flavorings (hope they're natural, for that price) and sugar. Doubt if there's any wheat or grain, the most likely food allergens. Did you notice it with any particular flavor?
