We need to have our hardwood floors refinished. Any recommendations for a local (SB/Goleta) company
that can do it quickly?

Douglas Hardwood Flooring has an excellent reputation, and they are honest and skilled. Be sure to get a bid from them. They have worked on my house recently.

Several years ago we had some excellent work from Douglas. We eliminated two old floor furnaces leaving 2ft by 3 ft holes in the floor. Douglas patched the floor and refinished everything so the repair is not noticeable.

Another vote for Douglas. They've done my rooms one at a time due to a very slow remodel-- and manage to match the finish each time! They also added a section and you simply can't tell it's there, it blends in so well.

Got work done through Service Master in Goleta in a 1500 sq ft house a few years back. The cost was reasonable, the subcontractor they used has dealt very effectively with little issues that this older oak parquet glued down onto slab floor has very diligently, coming out at no extra charge do deal with noisy or lifted tiles. As a bonus, the Service Master cleanup folks made sure that dust was never a noticeable issue. The floor had been repaired a few times over the years with non-matching tiles. The workers left behind a floor where no mis-matches were visible because of they way they applied stains to make them all match.

He was reliable, flexible with my schedule and did the whole 1400 sq ft job in 3 days. He even ordered me new oak shoes for the baseboards at his cost and had it delivered right to the house so my handyman could install them!
