This is within one block of the mission but not at the mission. Where is it?

Hmmm... Are we starting the engines for March Madness? This is a difficult one.

Not difficult, the towers on the left are a clue. Just use Google Maps.

It must be in the way back yard of the natural history musuem, up on a hill. I never saw the cute building, but the view of the mission property from there looks familiar from long ago visits.

Isn't this behind the old Middle School/Seminary/San Roque School/ whatever that is now used for? The gate to the right in the picture leads to a trail down the back hill of the SBMNH, to the wooded area across the creek, near the stone amphitheater. Yes?

This would be next door to the Mission. Where the Nun's retreat is located. The Mission Creek would be on the right of the building.

Back corner of Saint Mary's Retreat House. Originally the Hazard Estate.

512 is correct. The Hobbit House is on the old seminary property now owned by the Sperlings... sad that this property was for decades open for the public to walk through and is now a gated fortress.

Yeah it's so sad that the site of many horrible sex crimes against male youths is now unavailable to the tourist circuit to ogle.

What would tourists see? Worship in the chapel? Tour the grounds, not much to see. It is set up as a school, we've all been in them. You won't find ghosts here, they do not exist.

A gated fortress? Well the Sperlings and their un-acredited University of Pheonix probably have made a few enemies who paid good money and signed up for their on-line programs only to find out they were non-transferable and barely recognized in the academic world. When one makes enemies one needs to live in protected seclusion. The only friends they tend to make are politicians like Das Williams who got over $34,000 from them in "political contributions".
