Coroner Request

Heard a County transmission, "Respond the coroner to the end of the pier." It's not Stearn's Wharf.

Did not hear the whole call that is all I heard besides a coroner state back he was responding to the 1144 call..Anyone out there in Edhat Land know where this is? Or what the circumstances might be?

I just heard a police officer say he was 10-97, Basically on Location at Ellwood Pier. Then the dispatcher said something about directions over the computer..That is more than likley where the 1144 Dead Body is..Ellwood Pier..

Sure it's not Stearns? I drove by 10 mins ago and a fire truck was just exiting the wharf.

County Fire Twitter feed shows a medical emergency at 7979 Hollister at 10:35. On Google Maps that address shows up just west of Sandpiper.

Its a service pier for the oil company.

I was out at Haskells beach at that time when I saw an ambulance drive out to the end of the pier by the Bacara. And there were two fishing boats and one came into the end of the pier to meet the ambulance. They were out there for about 15 minutes or so then left. Not sure if they took anyone.

@480 I think you got it. The medics must have turned it over to the coroner right there at the pier..

I was there till 1230 never saw another vehicle come out to the pier. Unless they took the 1144 in the ambulance.
