V-day at Lake Los Carneros

I ran into my photographer friend Denise Dewire and her husband at Lake Los Carneros yesterday. We took
a lap around the lake looking for birds to shoot (with our cameras!) We didn't see very many birds, but did
end up finding lots of things to shoot, a few birds, flowers, an adorable boy, two adorable ‘therapy' dogs,
and the beautiful hawk…not sure what type it is. On our way out to our cars, we ran into woman that said
"the swan has just been released" back into the lake. They removed one of the pair for rehab a few weeks
ago. The mate waited patiently at the lake and yesterday, on Valentines day, the swans mate was no where
to be found. :-( I really hope they reunite soon, and make it a true Valentine's Day love story.
