Injury Traffic Accident: Miramonte and Carrillo. A vehicle vs a bicyclist. Fire and medics are responding.

Other calls made me miss the arrival of Fire but at least you know theres an accident there.. OK Engine 6 on scene making sure SBPD and Medics are probably there by now because we have another injury traffic accident at Milpas and Cacique.

AMR was delayed to the call because they are understaffed and at level zero, which means no ambulances able to respond throughout the south county. There was a call in Carp shortly after this incident and the nearest ambulance was at cottage.

On the way to dinner lastnight, my wife and I saw a cyclist weaving through rush hour traffic under the Carrillo St. overpass. He then proceeded thruogh the red light at the 101 off ramp. I turned to my wife and said 'those must be the cyclists we read about on Edhat getting hit by cars'. I wonder if this cyclist is the crazy fool we saw last night.

Hey, if you're in a big hurry, risking your life is okay, right? 20 lbs of bicycle against a 2500 lb car is a fair fight.
