body was discovered in a dorm room on campus.

I am sorry to hear. Maybe we should be counting the suicide deaths in SB like they do the gun deaths in Chicago. Make the public aware, and things people might be looking for to stop anyone attempting.

It's midterm season at UCSB. A very stressful time. And a celebratory time once it's over. No way to know what went through his mind. To 566P, you should know that for many people, they cannot analyze or think clearly... they can't see any other way out. It's not weakness or laziness, it's an illness. Depression is a potentially fatal illness. My cousin took his own life when he was 15. No one knew how ill he was. RIP. My thoughts are with this young man's family and friends.
