Is legally possible to ban semis from the 154? Unless they have local business directly off of the 154 I don't see a reason for them to be on that road...way too dangerous...

272 - banning semis from the 154 is not going to happen. I own a trucking company and every driver has been warned to never use the 154. We have one account that delivers in SY and the drivers go up the 101 and access it that way. The stress the 154 puts on our trucks is not worth it - any big rig driver or owner knows that and avoids the 154 like the plague. Going to say it again, most GPS devices direct you to take the 154 - those drivers learn the hard way. You don't save any time and fools are riding your ass the whole way. All that being said, share the damn road people and obey the move over law while you're at it.

@243, you may as well call for a ban on hitting yourself in the head with a hammer. No truck driver with a lick of sense will take 154 unless they're making a pickup or delivery there.

He wasn't on 154 though. On an access road to/from the quarry.

That's correct, this did not happen on 154. It was on private land on the road leading to the quarry. The turn from 154 where the camera sits and a woman stands and directs the gravel haulers in and out. The soil is very wet up there, perhaps that had something to do with it.

272... you will never get them off 154 because there is a quarry across the street from Bradbury Dam and they don't make deliveries in pick up trucks. Economic interests trumps your inconvenience. Sorry....

Don't worry, Roger, there's no ban on hitting yourself with a hammer. That was an example of a ludicrous suggestion for a law because no normal person would need to be told not to do such a thing. You're still allowed to do it.
