Atlas 5 Rocket Launch

Exactly on time at 10:02AM a Landsat satellite was launched on an Atlas 5 rocket from Vandenberg Air Force base. After watching the launch on the Space Flight Now web site I ran into my front yard in Goleta and got some photos as it rose into the clear blue sky!

I circled the rocket in red in two of the photos so you could see it relative to the jagged contrail it left behind.
