What are the details of the book? What's it about specifically? SELL IT!! I'm sure there might be plenty of interested EdHatters.

I didn't even know he was there. Maybe someone can post when these kinds of things are scheduled. Thanks!

It was posted. The book has pictures of "Then and Now". For instance, a picture of the bar on the corner of State and Cabrillo with a mule drawn trolly turning the corner, next is a current photo with the resturant and our modern trolly. History about every location pictured. Neal did a tremendous amount of research and has wonderful pictures, I highly recommend getting a copy, and meeting Neal if you don't already know him. He and his sister Erin are fantastic historians who "get it right", taking a light hearted and accurate look into our past. They can really make you laugh!

Congratulations to Neal for a job well done. We picked up two copies - one for home and one for Peter's office. We are looking forward to reading each and every history, and taking a close look at all of the book's photos -old and new. Thanks Neal.

Can't wait to buy his book, there are so few on the history here which is so rich. Surprises me that more authors aren't writing about it.

Neal, the book it great! I'm reading it slowly to savor it. You have done a wonderful job, excellent choice of postcards and the current photographs are perfect. The text is easy to read and very enjoyable. Thank you for recording Santa Barbara history so beautifully!
