Sunset Colors

Brian sure likes to stir things up. I liked his pictures of the sunset Friday night. Looks like the sky is on
fire. And, just for the record, I saw the same sunset he did. It was glorious, and the photos of it
(especially with a little saturation added) are beautiful.

"a little saturation added" -- your definition of "a little" and mine differ. The sky looks like it's on fire. Pretty, but not realistic.

One thing our recent sunsets don't need is a little saturation added. They have more than enough!

Looks like one of the pictures of the Jesusita fire; wonder if anyone called those "beautiful" or "pretty", although they were dramatic! I am with 690P (and others) on the saturation question; I prefer reality although there are lots of wonders available in Photoshop that are fun to use.

I've seen golden - like liquid gold - sunsets but I do think color has been added or some kind of photoshop to the first one, and definetly to another pic showing the same scene in today's Edhat.

Mother Earth to photographers - Momma don't need no saturation boost!

Gorgeous shots Steve. I can't tell you how much I appreciate your post and your support. You're the man! It's funny how most of the people who are critiquing our work are people who probably never put themselves and there work out there like we do. They never built a statue for a critic, right?
