HIGHWAY 154 ROAD WORK NEAR LOS OLIVOS NEXT WEEK
Caltrans will resume a paving operation on Hwy. 154 from the Hwy. 101/154 Interchange (north of
Buellton) to the intersection of Baseline Avenue and Edison Street beginning Monday, Feb. 11, weather
permitting.
This roadwork will take place Monday through Saturday from 8 am to 4 pm. Motorists will encounter
one-way reversing traffic control with a delay not to exceed 15 minutes. Electronic message boards will
be posted to advise motorists, who may use Hwy. 246 as an alternate route.
The contractor for this $2.1 million dollar repaving project is Granite Construction of Santa Barbara.
This project is expected to be completed by the end of the month.
Caltrans reminds motorists to move over and slow down when driving through highway work zones.

This "paving operation" so far has been a total joke. Cal Trans is doing spot patching, single lane wheel tracks & crack spots. The roadway looks like Spot the Wonder Dog since they started. Don't even attempt to ride a bike along the side because they've left the sides worse than they were when the project started.
