A BLUE ALERT HAS BEEN ACTIVATED STATEWIDE.

ON FEBRUARY 7, 2013, AT APPROXIMATELY 0122 HOURS, THE SUSPECT WAS INVOLVED IN MULTIPLE SHOOTINGS WITH MULTIPLE AGENCIES IN THE RIVERSIDE CHP AREA.

THE SUSPECT IS CHRISTOPHER JORDAN DORNER, A 33 YEAR OLD, BLACK, MALE, 6 FEET TALL, 270 POUNDS, WITH BLACK HAIR, BROWN EYES, WITH AN UNKNOWN CLOTHING DESCRIPTION.

THE SUSPECT WAS LAST SEEN DRIVING A GRAY NISSAN TITAN, WITH A CA LICENSE PLATE OF 8D83987.

OTHER VEHICLE INFORMATION INCLUDES: A SKI RACK ON TOP.

So messed up. I hope he's found ASAP and no one else is hurt. Also, I read cops think he changed the license plate number from 7X03191 to 8D83987. So maybe BOLO for both #'s in case he kept the old plate to switch again.

Sounds like they think he is in San Diego, where he tried to steal a boat from a harbor there and he may have ditched the car. (Just saw a press conference on KTLA)

I've heard of red alerts, amber alerts, but never blue ones. I guess blue means law enforcement, as in "men in blue". I can imagine what a brown alert is.

You all should read his uncensored manifesto. Looks like LAPD is more corrupt that we know or realize. This guy isn't going to hurt anyone other than what he calls corrupt cops. Inform yourself about this before passing judgment.

842: He killed the daughter & her bf (husband, maybe?) of a PO. And he says in the manifesto that they only have themselves to blame when he kills their children. Yeah, right, he's totally harmless to everyone except corrupt cops. "I never had the opportunity to have a family of my own," it reads. "I'm terminating yours." Totally harmless. Also, 821, he was in SD trying to steal a boat, then they believe he traveled to Riverside where he shot the cops there. So he could easily be headed north & nearby. Keep your eyes out.

He was fired for ratting out a fellow cop for using excessive force against a mentally ill young boy, which was corroborated in court. He crossed the blue line. I don't agree with him killing innocent people, nor do I think being a vigilante is ever justified but as far as crooked cops, it makes me wonder if to some extent they are reaping what they have sowed as there is really no recourse against crooked cops and there are tons on the LAPD. If you read his UNCENSORED manifesto (the ones on the major networks are censored) it's pretty interesting and makes it obvious that unless you are a specific crooked cop in the LAPD this guy is not dangerous. And, the cops are now also shooting at innocent bystanders.

The police are shooting at random blue trucks. They have wounded, thank heaven not killed, a few innocents. What is wrong with the police. Yes, he is wrong to be doing what he is doing - very wrong. But the police shooting at anyone in a blue truck is just as wrong. If you own a truck that looks anything like the one they are searching for, leave it parked in your driveway. You may loose your life because the police have an us and them mentality and you are them.

13, have you watched any news coverage of what he is armed with? Your little handgun or pistol would be like a gnat to him. I get such a kick out of people saying, "Bad guy! Let me carry my gun and everything will be OK!" The guy has a weapon with bullets as big as a hand--it can pierce Armored Personel Carriers. He has received years of training in firearms, defensive tactics, and police procedure. Is your little ol' Glock in your waistband going to make any difference to him?

I've been watching this story closely and it sounds like one of those novels written by Lee Child's. So many twists and turns, and unfortunately victims who were killed "just because." With his training and size it will be hard to stop him.

908, I'm surprised. And disappointed. Two innocent women were shot by the LAPD in a case of (severe) mistaken ID. They weren't even in the same KIND of truck. I blame this guy totally for what he's doing but I wish the police would be a bit more professional and not fire on innocent women in a truck.

988p, I was being sarcastic when I said "a bit." I guess that doesn't come across in typed words. Sadly I don't think a lot will happen to the cops who shot these two innocent ladies. Luckily they will both live (though one was shot in the back so hopefully she doesn't have any lasting spinal or muscle issues from that!) They'll pull the whole, "We were protecting the public/our own from a serious threat" card and likely get away with it. These ladies were just out delivering papers this morning, minding their own business and from what I saw on one report, the truck was fired upon before it was ordered to stop. Truly scary conduct.

813 and 863 you wouldn't stand a chance against this guy, concealed weapons permit or not. if you tried to confront this guy without a couple decades of live fire combat training you'd be full of holes before you "unconcealed" your weapon. best bet is to stay the hell out of his way and let the professionals do their jobs. so sick of hearing uneducated people call for more guns in our society. have you read any real, academic peer reviewed studies about gun violence in our country? the statistics don't lie, unlike the NRA lobby.
