Pedestrian Crosswalk Enforcement Actions
updated: Feb 06, 2013, 8:37 PM

By SBPD

The City of Santa Barbara recently improved pedestrian crossing conditions on Milpas St. at Ortega and Yanonali Streets. Part of the improvements includes pedestrian activated flashing lights. When the lights are flashing, it indicates that a pedestrian is trying to cross the street. In order to raise awareness at these crosswalks, the Santa Barbara Police department, with the assistance of the traffic engineering department, will be conducting pedestrian crosswalk enforcement actions at these locations and other locations throughout the city of Santa Barbara on Thursday February 7, 2013. If you have any questions please contact Sergeant Mike McGrew.
