I need to find a great birthday gift for a 60 year old golfing gal. Any duffers out there have an idea?

Play with her! If there's a group playing, she gets a treat at each hole (a sweet, a statement about how great she is, an interpretive dance, etc.). Sing Happy Birthday to her prior to tee off. At the 18th, bring in the very strong men to carry her to the spa day you have arranged. Most importantly, TELL HER she is a valued friend.

if she is in Maui...then pay her green fees for the Plantation Course at Kapalua...not many better bday gifts than that for a golfer.

If in Maui, I agree with 200, the Plantation course would be a treat. Been there done that and always will remember how fun it was. Next year when the PGA Tour plays there she can watch and recall what she did on each hole and experience her birthday again.

Any golfer would enjoy a nice round of golf at a nice course (one they wouldn't normally treat themselves to) as a gift.

Ok, 60 is big! So I think a round at Kapalua is good for the morning, then lunch on the water somewhere, followed by a massage, pedi/mani and facial wrapped up with a gift certificate to: Hawaii Golf and Tennis, Suite 217, Lahaina Gateway, 335 Keawe Street, Lahaina, Maui, Hawaii 96761 1-808-661-9992.

I agree, Harry got it right. If she is staying in South Maui I would suggest the Wailea Gold Course and a spa day with massage at the spa in the Grand Wailea. If she is in Kapalua the Plantation or Bay Course with a spa day massage at the Kapalua Spa. Merriman's on the water is a wonderful restaurant for lunch after golf in Kapalua.
