There were perhaps 40 people at this so-called public meeting. Compare that to the 20,000+ people who live in the Eastside neighborhood. Many of those 40 people belong to political organizations such as COAST and SBCAN who support political candidates. They do not represent the Eastside community and account for only .2% of the Eastside population.

How could the city (legally) restrict public comment based upon neighborhood? Brown act makes no allowance for such a restriction. Big error.

Is Janet Wolf the Supervisor over there, as we aren't getting anything done about our traffic problem in our neighborhood either.

458, true, there was room for more and it is too bad there were not more. ...I think there were more than 40 there but I didn't count - it was open to all. However, as one there, I don't belong to any of the political groups and had no axe to grind. The supervisor for the area is Carbajal and I don't think he was there.
