February 3, 2013 - Wake Up and Smell

Sunday morning, and the smell of coffee and bacon fill the crisp February air. Or not. Maybe it's the smell of the fresh sea air as you have a run at the beach, or the sound of the dog panting on your walk through the neighborhood. Whatever it is, it is going to be a glorious day. Why? Because you are reading Edhat, of course! What did you think we were going to say? This week we have some fun stuff in store. And in the coming weeks, there's even more! We're going to start up the Edhat contests again, because the dedicated staff of edhat.com misses them. And we have some new columns on the horizon too.

But for today, check out all the good reading we have to offer. The Dog of the Week is Lama, the Tibetan Zen master; the Cat of the Week is Bamboo. The Non-Profit of the Week is the Santa Barbara Stingrays Youth Rugby, and Edhat subscriber Chuck McPartlin takes us on a tour of the skies.

---- Edhat Stuff ----------------------------------

Life imitating art imitating life is at the heart of Caesar Must Die, a feature documentary from Taviani brothers, Paolo and Vittorio (Kaos).

NON-PROFIT OF THE WEEK: The Santa Barbara Stingrays Youth Rugby has entered its second year. The thing most people love about Rugby is that everyone can handle and run with the ball.

Take a tour of a storied star cluster with Chuck McPartlin, cruising the cosmos.

Meet Lama, the Tibetan zen master.

CAT OF THE WEEK: Meet Bamboo, a kitty who loves a personal paw pillow.
