Rheumatology is the study of joint problems. What does it have to do with lungs?

Sansum is not my favorite entity in town, but Dr. Gibson at Rheumatology was excellent, caring with my elderly father. Kudos to / for him.

Dr. Gibson is no longer practicing. And yes, he is a wonderful rheumotologist.

Please, please, please....get a referral from a primary care doctor (or even your dentist!) Good doctors know other good doctors. People on the internet will give you outdated, biased and dangerous information.

I see Dr Susan Lemon at Sansum. I had seen Dr McGinn for over 10 years until his retirement. Dr Lemon is thorough and very knowledgable about new advances in treatments. I have had RA for 13 years and a good relationship with your physician is vital. I would get a consult with more than one and see who fits you best.

I am very happy with Stuart Segal at Sansum. He has been treating my lupus since 2001. And yes, rheumatologists do handle lung issues. I have lupus pneumonits.

My husband didn't originally go to Dr. Spiegel for lung issues--he went for other reasons. But Dr. Spiegel was alert to his various symptoms and sent him for a chest x-ray. That's how he caught my husband's cancer.

Dr. Stuart Segal at Sansum is great. I have RA and lupus. I've seen him for 7 years. Explains things well and answers questions cheerfully.

Dr. Timothy Spiegel is highly recommended by other outstanding doctors and I just love him, very thorough and treats you like you have a brain as well.

Another vote for Dr. Spiegel. I love him. If you mesh with him, great. Certainly easier to work with then McGinn & Segal, for me, just a personality thing.

Dr. Susan Lemon at Sansum is outstanding and so is Dr. Timothy Spiegel. I've had personal experience with both and highly recommend them.

Dr. Powell took over some of Dr. Gibson's patients at Sansum. He is wonderful! So caring and kind! Good listener, explains everything well and is very knowledgeable.

I've seen Dr. Lemon twice & appreciated how she actually listened to my long list of symptoms. She's out on maternity leave for awhile though.

062 -Rick Ryu is great--but he is an Orthopedic Surgeon, not a rheumatologist.
