Cuyama Fire Cause Determined

At 10:11 am on Tuesday, January 29, the Santa Barbara County Fire Department (SBCFD) responded to a structure fire, located at 2011 Foothill Rd. in Cuyama.

SBC FD responded two engines, a water tender, an investigator and a battalion chief to the scene. SBC FD was assisted by Kern County Fire Department, Santa Maria Fire Department, and the Santa Barbara County Sheriff's Department.

The fire was investigated by the Santa Barbara County Fire Department. As a result of the investigation, the cause of the structure fire that occurred at 2011 Foothill Rd. is determined to be related to malfunctioning mechanical equipment.
