I took this photo on January 19th at the Santa Barbara Zoo. They are Fennec foxes, Bill and Andy. They are among the smallest foxes; their large ears allow them to dissipate heat and to hear prey. Some people have them for pets, but they are said to be very energetic and a handful. Their habitat at the zoo is next to the lions and they can hear Chadwick roar, although they don't seem to be bothered.
