January 27, 2013 - History's Mystery
There were a lot of top stories and subscriber debates this week on Edhat. In true Santa Barbara fashion, our week kicked off with a flurry of fires. Not
just one fire, but three in one day. Lucky for residents, the fires were quickly tackled and extinguished. The Edhat staff was proud to see the local coverage
from subscribers all over the Santa Barbara area. It's comforting to know that if anything major (or minor) happens in our little community, an Edhatter is
there to report it.
Another hot topic this week was the tragic loss of a local resident's dog, Billy. It was a very sad story that caused a stir on the comment boards, but I'm
sure most Edhatters can agree it's a sad loss for Billy's family.
Our Dog of the Week is Sonny, a happy Boston Terrier looking to get a drivers license. Our Cat of the Week is Calypso, just another retiree living it up in
Santa Barbara. The Urban Hikers dove deeper into the history of Casa Dorinda, David Powdrell is excited about Carpinteria's talent show, Marc Liberts shares
the in's and out's of taking a cruise, and our Teen Voice writer discusses holistic medicine.
