I still haven't heard injury but heard all four lanes blocked and I'll leave it at that unless I hear any different.

I just (tried) to drive home up the Cliff Drive hill and the road was completely blocked. Turned around and found a different way home. I couldn't tell at night how many cars involved, but there were lots of emergency lights.

Seems like there has been an awful lot of accidents on the Mesa and on Cliff drive recently. I thought the Mesa Architects and the City Planners spent (wasted) all that time designing and changing Cliff drive around (you remember "pedestrian and bicycle friendly" configurations), which would then eliminate or reduce accidents?

317: This accident was between Mesa Lane and Las Positas and was not part of the recent changes. The main issue on this stretch is the speed limit. It is currently 45mph, however, people regularly fly down the hill at 60-65mph. Not the smartest move when there are multiple driveways on both sides of the street and visibility for those exiting driveways may be limited depending upon how far down Cliff they are located. Lowering the speed limit to 30 would help. Yes, people will still speed. But perhaps they will keep it to 40-45.

317 : wasted?? Personally I am really impressed with the changes on Cliff between Meigs and SBCC, yes I do remember the bicycle and pedestrian improvements and enjoy them daily.
