Swarm Season

Swarm season is just around the corner, and SBBA is looking for volunteers that
want to learn and participate in swarm captures. If you are interested, please
contact the Bee Rescue Hotline at 805-699-6229 to be put on our dispatch
notification list.
If you are a new beekeeper and looking for a new colony of bees, swarms are a
great way to get free bees. SBBA members have priority for our rescues, and if
you are in need, please email todd@sbba.org to be put on the list.
SBBA just scheduled with Hydrex Pest Control to train all of their technicians
in Bee Rescues. It is wonderful to see their commitment to the honeybee. Now we
need to get the rest of the pest control companies on board!
If you see a swarm, please call SBBA @ 805-699-9194 and we will dispatch a
rescue tech right away. Bee rescues are free to the community, but donations are
greatly appreciated!
