Any suggestions for catering a group of 60-ish people at an indoor city venue? I have a date in mind
and venue... just looking for a delicious and reasonably priced food provider. Thanks!

Rincon Catering. Many options, great food. I'd stay away from Catering Connection, it is straight from the Sysco truck slop.

A lot of places provide a party room free when you buy the food there, so if you have not reserved your venue already, check around first! Moby Dick (on Stearn's Wharf) has a very nice room with ocean and city views, and the food is moderately priced. Madame Lu on upper State Street has a room and is very reasonably priced. I recently provided dinner to a party with food from from Palazzio which was quite reasonably priced, tasty and generous portions, and their catering person was very helpful about what to order, what held up well and people would like. It was all ready when promised and packaged well.

I just recently used Jamie at Live Oak Grill Catering. They serve local organic cuisine. His kitchen is located at the Earl Warren Show Grounds and he is awesome to work with. Will totally rearrange things to suit your needs. Prices are great and the service is awesome! 636-5001. Good luck!

DJs catering is about as delicious as it comes. They can do a group of 10 or a party of 1000.

Can alcohol be involved? Harry's Plaza is great for group events and saves you the hassle of having to deal with setting up a venue.

I recently attended a party that was catered by Pascucci, food was great, and their menu is reasonably priced, so I would think catering prices would be as well...Also Jill's Place (Shalhoob's) has great food and caters.

is this for a select clique of 60's folks? Or, is it open to everyone? i'm in my 60's and still eat all the good stuff, not th snarky comments of applesauce, etc., not that there's anything wrong with that. Some people can be so rude.

Pure Joy did a truly outstanding job for my mom's memorial service, which was about 45 older adults. I did all of the arrangements online and by phone, and everything was absolutely perfect, with many compliments and requests for their business cards. I provided the decorations (flower arrangements) and favors, they did everything else.

Funny, I read it as "people in their 60's" until I read 367269's comment and realized the OP probably meant "about 60 people".

Rincon Catering does an excellent job and they're super-nice people to deal with. If it's a small group, how about using the private room at Opal for your event. The food and service there is excellent.

You can always use the Maritime Museum, as a venue Call Greg Gorga and ask how many people it will handle and his prices. He also has Caterers that can handle that many people.
