Santa Barbara's own Jennifer Vasilokas, the stem cell medicine consultant with the integrative medicine center of Santa Barbara Wellness Group, was interviewed on Friday January 18th. NBC Nightly News interviewed her about stem cell treatments for her kidney failure and the gift from Ty Warner, local billionaire philanthropist. His financial gift helped Vasilokas pay for her treatments.

Wonderful. Stem cell research and treatment holds such promise for so many. My hope is that personal religious views would quit impeding stem cell research and other basic research.
