Is this a good time to prune plants that have died off from all the frost we've had?

I should have said, to prune the tops of plants that have died off due to the frost.

Wait a month. We are still getting frost at night. There is no reason to hurry. After the new growth starts you will better judge what should be removed.

NO. It is big mistake to prune plants that have died due to frost damage before the danger of additional frosty nights are over. The damaged parts will look awful for another month, but don't trim until March for the plants sake.

Believe it or not today is a perfect day to water especially those with frost bite. The cold dries out the plants. I know it may sound crazy but my husbands a precessional Gardner. Don't prune as others have said. We just finished watering our entire garden and everything looks perky and happy :)

I'm a prehensile gardener. Like others have said, don't cut off the dead for another month. It was 72 today, let it be.

Depends on the plant. Cleaning off dead stuff is usually helpful, but try not to overprune right now. Wait and see what this wacky weather is going to do next! For now enjoy the summer and water plants. :)

We almost always get a warm spell here in SB from just after New Years to about Feb 20th. Wait to prune ("particularly roses") until Feb 20th.
